A reminder that this Saturday, August 14th, at the Blackwater Cafe in Stockton, Willie Hines and the Face Cards will be performing two sets, starting @ 8:00pm. They will be premiering their new full length cd "Reason In This World". The cover of $10 includes the new cd!! Laid back Marin county pop w/ a touch of Americana. Are you kidding me?!?!? Be there!

Brad is out on the raod with Y&T as a fill-in for Phil Kenemore. It appears Phil had a back issue that lead to a diagnosis of hip replacement surgery and a bout with cancer. We wish Phil a speedy recovery. Initially, it was thought that his back injury would keep him off the road for 2 weeks thus Brad got the call and was on a plane in 24 hours and learned 19 songs. He is going to be part of the Y&T team for a while and could be seen here on the Y&T tour page.

Family and friends,
As many of you know already, Phil Kennemore was recently diagnosed with metastaic cancer. Phil has undergone a barrage of tests, a long hospital stay at Stanford, an operation, and will soon start aggressive chemotherapy to regain his health and get him back with the band on stage again.
Because of this and potentially more treatments to come, I have put together a fund for Phil so that people from around the world can make donations to help him with his enormous medical bills. The 07/16/2010 reunion show went off without a hitch and rocked. The set list is as follows:
Let It Roll, Take It To Heart, Tell Me When You're Ready, Don't Leave Me Alone, Down To Me And You, Matter Of Time, Lonely, Look In Your Eyes, I Surrender, Outside, Take It Down, About You, Lolita, Drive In...and the encore was Lots Of Days. According to Willie "Yeah,..it was fun!" The band is Willie Hines, Brad Lang, Michael Frowein, and Russell Van Norman.

A reunion show has been set. It will feature the original Jet Red lineup from way back in the day. We are talking about this message from Willie Hines:
Hey, Ken! We're talking the original line-up (well, the first one that really mattered anyway), with Brad, Fro, Russell Van Norman on keyboards, and myself on lead vocals and all guitars!
So you want to go? You need to get to Fat Cat in Modesto on July 16th. Actually, it is Fro's birthday bash! Should be fun.....The band is rehearsing and is getting ready to rock. More details as I find them!! Join our Facebook page to stay hip!!

MAJOR NEWS - I have confirmation that as of March, 2010, the long awaited second album from JET RED entitled "FLIGHT PLAN" will finally be released. Yes, the wait is over. The package is available through Sun City Records, our pals down under. If you go to their order page and scroll down, you will find it. While their website is in need of some work with links and such, I received an e-mail from the owner stating that the CD will ship in March.
I am assuming that it is the original package with the bonus DVD. For those who forgot, it is as follows:
Jet Red CD/DVD Package
A little known fact about Jet Red is that in the mid/late 80's when the boys were starting out, their original axe man was the GREAT Marty Friedman who went on to record with many great bands, but most notably became apart of the legendary Megadeth. Jet Red recorded a bunch of tunes back in the day with Marty before Dave Mustane poached him and they will be featured on Flight Plan as bonus tracks.
Flight Plan will include the full 11 tracks that were to be the second album plus 3 bonus tracks that Marty did with the band right at the start PLUS this package will include a bonus DVD of a killer live show that the boys did in San Jose in the early 90's. All that for the same price of US$18.00!!
So there you have it! Tell Sun City that you were sent there by the OFFICIAL JET RED SITE!
I plan on speaking to the band for some other goodies to offer including a CD of further unreleased tracks recorded live in various settings including some unplugged, acoustic stuff that is awesome. Stay tuned......more great stuff to come soon.......
